Thank you, I'm so glad you found it charming :-D

I am so surprised you left Denmark before Bamse, I just can't get over that! I'm glad you liked the transitions, I've wanted to do something like that for a while, and I wasn't sure at all it would work the way I had planned it.

Thank you for telling me about the Mayans! I am so embarrassed, I know the difference between Mayans and Incans, and I know I always get confused and mix them up anyway, so I really should have looked it up. I will fix that error immediately, and thank you for pointing it out.

I've only been in a temperate rainforest, and it was definitely cool and humid and dark. It was very nice to go in there, after being out in the sunshine on a hot day.

I don't know where in Peru The Sentinel is supposed to take place, but I imagine it somewhere in the jungle in the north of Peru, where average temperatures range from 20 to 36 C according to wikipedia. Not awfully hot, but warmer than Seattle, which the fictional city Blair lives in is based on. Heh, and warmer than the Washington rainforest, which is the temperate rainforest I mentioned being in.
