I think you're right about that - that's the way it usually is with privilege. I'm soaking in privilege myself, and I recognize the dynamic from both sides. I think that kaz also has a very good point: the way words about mental health are misused makes it difficult for people to take others at their word sometimes. So it's not necessarily deliberate bashing of people with anxiety, it's erasure of people with anxiety. Both bad, but different offenses ;-)
