Thank you, you have explained it much better than I did. You are right, people are judged by the color of their skin, and generally speaking, lighter skinned people are treated with less prejudice than darker skinned people.
I was trying to explain how and why I saw the concept as North America centric, and you got that perfectly, not trying to pretend like skin color is irrelevant in Europe.
