Calvinahobbes and I went to see Mad Max Fury Road, and I absolutely loved it. What did you think?

Haven't seen it yet, but Hi! Nice to see you! It's been ages!

(It's playing at the theater up the street. So if I can get over Tom Hardy playing another part with a mouthpiece...)

Underwhelmed by Mad Max, sadly. It was visually incredible, and Theron was awesome, but … *hands*.

Whoa, did hockey ever eat my brain and leave me too busy to reply to comments! Seriously, right now it feels like when I fell truly madly deeply in love with Supernatural - I expect it to last a lot shorter than that, though.

Anyways, Mad Max - I have replied to this comment in my head enough that it seems I should have replied to it here as well.

Expectations definitely too high and partly not my kind of movie - I'm really bad with gore/threat of gore the first time I watch something, and even though [personal profile] calvinahobbes claims it's not gory, it was gory enough (i.e. too much) for me, and certainly the threat of gore was very, very high.

And I didn't expect it to be so cracky - I had no clue they were going that route, my bad, *hands*.
